Today I thought I would take a little time to talk about the copy and paste functionality, again another small function but very useful. Those of you who have owned/used Apple or Android devices for a long time will remember the bad old days of before copy and paste when you had to just type it again and how frustrating it is.
The Honeycomb implementation of this is quite good, certainly better than the Gingerbread implementation on my Nexus One. I did however struggle to higlight areas of this post but I think thats due to the applet it was in.

Here you can see a screen shot of what happens when you highlight something and then do a long click on it to get the copy and paste options, which appear in the top menu/options bar. I must admit I do like this more than say a button appearing next to it as that could possibly cover up the area you want to paste the text into. I like to think Google's engineers have thought about it but it might just be a happy coincidence.

The pasting as you can see is also easy to do with just a long press on where you want your copied text to appear and then press the paste button that will appear next to it. Again a useful feature and one that I have used many times, I find it particularly good for copying from the Browser application and then pasting into something like Google Maps or Google Earth. It also works with other none Google apps to varying degrees of success.
I would also like to recommend to those of you reading this another blog about the Galaxy Tab which lists some good apps on it and also gives a good look at someone else who has bought one and is living with it, Simon Smith's Galaxy Tab Blog. You may have also noticed on the right hand side of this page there is now a links section, so any links I happen to mention will appear there. Obviously if you have any you think would be good to include as a link please let me know.
